Australian gardens are as diverse as the people who tend them. It’s a country of incredibly passionate gardeners. Despite a heritage of English and European gardening, Australia has developed a style all its own - largely due to the fact that many of the traditional plants you would see in an English garden just won’t survive the harsh Australian climate. Some gardens are strictly Australian natives, while others are hybrids that blend natives with those plants from the “old country” that have managed to survive and thrive here.
